Floating on a sea of stories

As part of the Open Inner West Festival, Leichhardt Library will be presenting Floating on a sea of stories, a special storytelling performance based on traditional children’s stories from Japan. Come on a journey with Oshin as he meets a host of marvellous characters from sailors and fishermen to monsters. This is a free event. All ages welcome but bookings are essential.

School Holiday Programmes up soon

April School Holidays are usually pretty full of public holidays, Easter, The Royal Easter Show and families taking advantage of the short work weeks to go away. So this year, we are opting for one major programme each week , one at Leichhardt – a little magic and one at Balmain – some cartooning fun. Details will be up soon. These programmes are designed for school aged children. Judy has also organized some young adult programmes too.

Our regular under 5’s programmes will operate except for public holidays.

Reading Together 1 is just about full, some spaces for Reading Together 2 available

Dear all,

If you are disappointed that you may not have been able to get into Reading Together Session 1 on 11 January at Leichhardt Library, remember that there is also a Reading Together Session 2 on the 16th. We will be having 4 authors at the Reading Together Session 2, Pamela Freeman, Susanne Gervay, Libby Hathorn and Stephanie Smee.  Don’t miss out on this unique experience.
